We are a small start-up with mainstream media attention. We had over 15 million impressions last month. We offer an exciting ground-floor opportunity to work under a highly experienced media team at a fast-growing company that is funded and profitable. Who are we looking for? We are searching for a highly talented, experienced, ambitious, entrepreneurial-minded Facebook Advertising & Display Marketing Manager to join our highly agile team to help market our content.

The successful candidate must demonstrate a proven track record of managing large scale Facebook Advertising campaigns, Online Ad Networks, Exchanges, and direct media buys focused on CPA & ROI. The role requires a savvy marketer who can roll up his/her sleeves to take new content ideas from concept and dry test, to launch and scale with limitless ad budgets. The role requires an entrepreneurial spirit who can research, negotiate, recommend, set up and launch new display channels and partnerships.

The candidate must be able to manage multiple projects in a fast paced, dynamic professional environment. Job Description

What will you be doing? Buy digital media using major media sources, including but not limited to Facebook Advertising, Native Advertising, Google Display Manage, report, analyze, optimize & grow existing Facebook Advertising & Native Ad display campaigns Create New Content Headlines and Ideas for Copy Team to Create; Research, evaluate, recommend, negotiate, launch, test, optimize, and scale new ad networks, real time bidding (RTB) platforms & direct media placements; Optimize campaigns through new ad targeting, placements, other implementations, etc., evolving our tactics employed to capitalize on changing industry trends; Oversee and improve processes and systems for our display user acquisition process; Continuously optimize and test new ad creative and landing pages.

Build a formal plan to do so; Be at the cutting edge of direct response online marketing with an abundance of resources and budgets. Optimization of campaign click-thru rates, conversion rates, and bid management; Create KPI's and Track As Much Data As Possible Creating ads and various other images using Adobe Photoshop.

Qualifications

Desired Skills & Experience: Experience acquiring users through Google AdWords, Facebook, Bing Ads, 2nd tier search, PPC/CPV, Facebook Power Editor, Facebook Ad Manager, Adservers, email, mobile ad networks, native advertising, performance based display ad networks and direct media buys Expertise in RTB working with DSP's, SSP's, ad exchanges, ad servers, ad networks & aggregators, and creative formats Experience in testing and optimizing display ad creative Experience with optimizing landing pages for conversions Experience setting up A/B split tests and Multi variant testing Strong communication, oral and written skills Strong copy writing skills Strong creative skills, come up with ad concepts and work with designer to bring to life Experience in the industry is a plus (New Media, Blogging, Advertising) Knowledge of web site conversion metrics, including CPM, CTR, CTL, CPC, CPL, CPA Exceptional analytic and strategic thinking skills Experience arbitraging CPM/CPC costs to meet CPA/CPI/CPS targets A 'hacker' mentality, i.e. a proven history of making things happen with limited resources and in a timely fashion Proven track record of achieving targets and increasing revenue towards the defined Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) Basic familiarity with SQL and/or Excel, familiarity with pivot tables preferred Qwaya, AdEspresso and DoubleClick, Compete and Hitwise; Working knowledge of the affiliate marketing industry.

Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask effectively and manage timelines; Comfortable dealing with unexpected situations and requests; Strong quantitative and analytical skills; International experience – highly recommended; Searching the Internet for images & content for the companies advertising pages; Must be able to handle non-traditional work hours; Must be comfortable learning new skills; Must have a positive and outgoing attitude; Fluency in mathematical concepts relevant to media planning and purchasing; Ability to thrive working cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders; Excellent project management skills; Location We are seeking someone who will work full-time out of our new downtown San Francisco, CA office.
