Job description

We're looking for a detail-oriented, systems-thinking Senior Digital Designer to leverage and evolve the Asana digital ecosystem and shape how our global audience experiences our brand across digital channels. You will join the Asana Marketing team, a global community focused on revenue and field marketing, product marketing, brand and content creation, advertising, and lifecycle marketing to fuel business growth. Working alongside experienced team members across our regional offices, you will partner closely with web development, growth, and brand teams to bring our marketing vision to life, ensuring that every digital touchpoint reflects a cohesive, high-caliber brand. By designing beautiful, intuitive visual experiences that tell Asana's story to the world, you will directly drive measurable results, user engagement, and web conversion.
This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. If you're interviewing for this role, your recruiter will share more about the in-office requirements.
What you'll achieve
  • Craft best-in-class digital experiences that sell the product, build user trust, and balance compelling visual experiences with conversion goals.
  • Own and evolve the digital brand design system, partnering with engineering to ensure designs are implemented with fidelity while balancing intent with technical constraints.
  • Define and leverage core visual principles like typography, space, layout, and color to elevate web user experiences.
  • Partner deeply with growth and brand teams to ensure visual consistency across all digital touchpoints.
  • Use performance data to inform design decisions, prototyping, testing, and iterating on what works while rethinking what doesn't.
  • Regularly present to C-suite stakeholders, leveraging visual storytelling and design rationale to clearly tie proposed visual experiences to our core audiences and company goals.
  • Design distinctive, on-brand email campaigns that drive engagement.
About you
  • 5-8 years of experience in digital or web design with a foundational understanding of UX/UI design principles.
  • Expert proficiency in Figma, design tokens, component libraries, and system architecture.
  • Experience supporting design systems in CMS environments like Contentful or Webflow.
  • A portfolio and/or website demonstrating strong visual craft across web and email.
  • A sharp eye for typography, layout, and visual hierarchy, with experience designing responsively across screen sizes and digital channels.
  • Comfortable giving and receiving feedback in a fast-paced, creative environment, with a focus on candor and rapid iteration.
  • Demonstrates curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making.

At Asana, we're committed to building teams that include a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills, as this is critical to helping us achieve our mission. If you're interested in this role and don't meet every listed requirement, we still encourage you to apply.
What we'll offer
Our comprehensive compensation package plays a big part in how we recognize you for the impact you have on our path to achieving our mission. We believe that compensation should be reflective of the value you create relative to the market value of your role. To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.
For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $223,000 - $253,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.
In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits. If you're interviewing for this role, speak with your recruiter to learn more about the total compensation and benefits for this role.
