Job description

The Senior Manager of Digital Communications is responsible for overseeing the execution of the divisional digital campaign strategies as well as the maintenance and management of the company’s 28+ brand websites.   This individual engages with senior leadership across the enterprise related to digital initiatives and performance reporting, working closely with other members of the digital communications team as well as department vice presidents and directors within the Communications & Branding Department


  • Develop and implement cohesive digital communications strategies to enhance visibility, reputation, and engagement. Collaborate daily with the digital team to set KPIs, evaluate, and enhance digital initiatives.
  • Drive awareness and demand for health care services, engaging consumers, referral sources, and payors across a full digital footprint.
  • Oversee SEO/SEM and other digital engagement strategies to guide/drive higher engagement.
  • Lead content updates, functionality, efficiency, and maintenance of the company’s digital strategy across social media, web, and e-mail marketing platforms for more than 30 brands.
  • Partner with executive leadership and clinical teams to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Contribute to the accuracy/integrity of data through validation and routine data audits.
  • Monitor performance and evaluate the effectiveness of communications initiatives and make necessary changes to continuously improve outcomes. Use analytics tools to track engagement, reach, and ROI of digital campaigns.
  • Mentor digital communications staff, monitor staff performance, and set expectations for the team.
  • Present website and digital campaign performance to market, regional, and divisional leadership.
  • Assist communications colleagues with optimal implementation and usage of various platforms through training, guidance on best practices, and support.
  • Stay abreast of digital trends, evolving technologies, healthcare regulations (HIPAA), and patient engagement strategies.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Seven (7) plus years of experience in digital communications with a proven track record of creating substantive, engaging digital experiences around business-to-consumer brands.
  • Experience designing and executing innovative digital communications strategies that demonstrate significant ROI.
  • Proven ability to influence across all levels of a large, complex organization.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, oral and written, with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong planning, teamwork, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with project management principles and project management platforms.
  • Experience managing and inspiring teams to work effectively and creatively.
  • Strong command of metrics and analytics to drive strategy and increase engagement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
