Technology Development (TD) is the heart and soul of Moore's Law at Intel. TD has enabled Intel to create world-changing technology that enriches the lives of every person on earth. TD's employees drive breakthrough research, develop next generation process and packaging technologies, while also running high volume manufacturing operations in its state-of-the-art facilities in Oregon and Arizona.
Intel Foundry is developing the next generation of silicon solutions to enable tomorrow's computing solutions. Within Intel Foundry, Logic Technology Development (LTD) creates and perfects each process technology node.
This Product Development Engineer (PDE) position is in the Parametric Test area (ETest) and supports electric test programs for discrete devices used to measure and improve performance and reliability as new process technologies and designs are developed. E-test characterizes MOS, ROS, key interconnect and parasitics to develop key technology performance metrics (PDK, CPK) for all technologies including Intel18, Intel14 and beyond. The E-Test groups also develops test programs for structures used to disposition wafers on every Intel Foundry product throughout the company.
The PDE job includes working with Device and Quality engineers to define test content, validate designs, develop the actual test program and validate the results on silicon. This also includes developing new or improving existing testing methods and systems to support new designs, improve quality or reduce testing time. In addition the PDE works with operations and module engineers to define high volume systems and with factories across Intel to define and meet capacity constraints.
Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field with 6+ months of relevant experience

OR
  • Master's degree Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience

Relevant experience includes hands-on in one or more of the following:
  • Designing electrical circuits or devices
  • Measuring electrical circuits or devices
  • Instrument design
  • Device physics
  • Automating electrical data collection
  • Experience with semiconductor parametric analyzer

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in parametric testing on high volume testers such as the 4080 or V93K systems
  • Design for test
  • Experience in Linux, C/C++, or Python scripting
