What is the difference between Development Director vs Fundraising Manager?
| Aspect | Development Director | Fundraising Manager |
|---|---|---|
| Primary Focus | Oversees overall fundraising strategies, donor relations, and development initiatives | Executes specific fundraising campaigns and manages donor outreach |
| Responsibilities | Strategic planning, team leadership, major gift cultivation | Event planning, donor communication, campaign execution |
| Credentials | Bachelor’s or Master’s in Nonprofit Management, Fundraising, or related fields; experience in leadership roles | Bachelor’s degree; experience in fundraising or development roles often preferred |
