Director of Prospect Development

Salary Range: $80,000 to $101,000 per year, based on experience
Terrific new Director of Prospect Development. The Director will be responsible for the foundation's prospect research, management, and development. The role will work to develop and implement effective strategies to identify and qualify prospects for philanthropic funding priorities. Excellent benefits currently include:

Responsibilities:
  • Manage prospect research, prospect development, and data analysis to inform fundraising strategies and foundation leadership
  • Research and analyze prospects to identify and qualify for philanthropic giving opportunities
  • Provide supervision and mentorship to the Prospect Development team and develop departmental objectives
  • Assign prospects to portfolios and ensure moves management of prospects through portfolios
  • Implement effective strategies to identify new donor prospects
  • Collaborate on strategy for cultivation of principal gift level prospects
Qualifications:
  • Approximately 5+ years of relevant prospect research and development experience including time in a supervisory role
  • Higher education experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Expert in the field of prospect research and development, strong understanding of best practices and industry trends
  • Experience with Blackbaud or similar; experience with wealth screening, prospect development, and other tools
  • Ability to work with a fast-paced and innovative team
  • Understanding of moves management and donor behavior
