WHAT IS THIS POSITION RESPONSIBLE FOR?
  1. Ensures compliance of Southwestern's corporate identity through use of the logo, tag line and other recognizable symbols and campaigns.
  2. Has knowledge of Southwestern's programs and services by geographic location and constantly keeps updated on changes in services.
  3. Builds and maintains strong relationships with referral partners, community organizations, payers, employers, and other key stakeholders.
  4. Serves as a point of contact for external partners, fostering trust and long-term engagement.
  5. Conducts regular outreach to existing and prospective customers to understand needs, address concerns, and strengthen connections.
  6. Represents Southwestern in the community with external agencies, referral sources, legislators, community leaders, and consumers for the purpose of public relations, education, and referral source development/communication.
  7. Assists in ensuring that all information regarding programs, events and special recognition is delivered to the media in a creative and timely manner.
  8. Specializes in developing the design and coordinating the production of public relations print materials.
  9. Specializes in managing and coordinating special events for Southwestern.
  10. Coordinates events designed to attract and educate referral sources and consumers.
  11. Assists in attaining public speaking and other outreach opportunities to promote the mission of Southwestern's services and programs.
  12. Specializes in assisting in maintaining website development/improvement.

WHAT'S REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION?
  • Bachelor's degree required in Marketing, Business Administration, Public Relations, a behavioral health area or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in business development, customer relationships, event planning or marketing positions preferably in healthcare, behavioral healthcare, a non-profit development department or equivalent / related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of business development and account management.
  • Knowledge of computers including word processing, desktop publishing and the Internet.
  • Knowledge of graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Canva and website systems such as Wix and backend website management preferred.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Able to maintain professional rapport with community and business leaders.
  • Willing to use personal transportation in work capacity.
  • Able to gather, analyze, and interpret data.
  • Adhere to a customer focused philosophy of doing business.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to prioritize workload and coordinate own activities with others.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
