Description:
The Fundraising Non-Profit Development Coordinator & HR Administrator provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources and Development functions of the organization. This position assists with onboarding, employee support, HR compliance, and personnel administration while also supporting fundraising initiatives, donor stewardship, sponsorship development, grant research, and special events. Working collaboratively with leadership, staff, volunteers, donors, sponsors, and community partners, the incumbent helps advance the organization's mission by supporting workforce operations and increasing community engagement through fundraising activities and donor relations.

The program has become one of Maryland's leading cybersecurity apprenticeship models, serving individuals from underserved communities and helping graduates launch careers in technology and cybersecurity.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources (IBSS Corp. About IBSS )
  • Support day-to-day Human Resources operations, policies, and administrative functions.
  • Prepare onboarding documentation and facilitate new hire orientation.
  • Maintain confidential employee personnel files and HRIS records.
  • Assist with benefits enrollment, employee record updates, and HR compliance documentation.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and employment procedures.
  • Coordinate employee training, recognition programs, and engagement activities.
  • Assist with performance review documentation and HR reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and organizational policies.

Non-Profit Development & Fundraising (Guideship - https://guideship.org/ )
  • Planning and executing annual fundraising campaigns and community engagement initiatives.
  • Research prospective donors, corporate sponsors, grant opportunities, and community partnerships.
  • Support donor cultivation and stewardship activities through communications, acknowledgment letters, and follow-up correspondence.
  • Prepare sponsorship packages, fundraising materials, donor presentations, and promotional content.
  • Coordinate fundraising events, including venue selection, vendor coordination, volunteer scheduling, registration management, and event logistics.
  • Maintain donor databases and accurately record donations, sponsorships, and fundraising metrics.
  • Assist with grant research and preparation of supporting documentation for grant proposals.
  • Support marketing efforts through email campaigns, newsletters, social media, and community outreach.
  • Build positive relationships with donors, sponsors, volunteers, board members, and community organizations.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, Communications, or a related field (or combination of education and experience).
  • Approximately one (1) year of experience in Human Resources, nonprofit administration, fundraising, or a related administrative role.
  • Knowledge of basic Human Resources principles and employment practices.
  • Take initiative, work proactively, anticipate needs, and identify and address issues before they become problems.
  • Work independently while exercising sound judgment and knowing when to seek guidance or escalate matters appropriately.
  • Employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Current employment legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Employee and personnel records, including confidential and sensitive information.
  • Proper handling, protection, and confidentiality of employee data.
  • Consistent and appropriate application of HR policies and requirements.
  • Experience coordinating meetings, events, or administrative projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience supporting nonprofit fundraising campaigns or donor engagement activities.
  • Knowledge of donor management or CRM software (Salesforce or similar).
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems such as ADP, UNANET, BambooHR, or similar platforms.
