Job description

  • Assist the Instructor in supervising and working with children with and without special needs to build skills in:
    • Self-care
    • Gross and fine motor development
    • Social-emotional development
    • Communication and cognitive skills
  • Help implement daily lesson plans tailored to each child’s Individual Education Plan (IEP) or IFSP
  • Lead small group activities and step in during the Instructor’s absence when needed
  • Help set up and maintain classroom spaces, learning materials, and activities
  • Support indoor and outdoor activities, including field trips
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and engaging learning environment that meets health and safety standards
  • Assist with written documentation such as attendance, progress notes, behavioral data, and evaluations
  • Communicate and work collaboratively with families
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings and ongoing training
