The Team You Will Join

As such, Lifestyle Communities' (LC) Development team leads the nation in planning communities that bring people together and enrich neighborhoods. You'll join a dynamic team dedicated to handling all aspects of development from start to finish to ensure that our vision is never lost in the final product.
Who You Are
As the Development Associate, you will support the development team in managing residential, multi-family, and mixed-use projects across the company's portfolio. Your responsibilities will include assisting with project research, documentation, and coordination throughout various phases-from early planning to final delivery. You'll help track timelines, budgets, and schedules, and contribute to maintaining quality standards. In this role, you'll collaborate with internal teams and engage with external consultants, contractors, and local agencies to help ensure projects move forward smoothly and successfully.
The Difference You Will Make:
As the Development Associate, you will support the planning, coordination, and execution of residential/multi-family and mixed-use projects within the company's portfolio. You will work alongside the development team under supervision of the AVP, Development Operations to support the development process, from project conceptualization to project completion, while adhering to budgets, timelines, schedules, and quality standards. You will work closely with internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and government agencies to deliver successful residential/multi-family development projects.
Who You Are:
  • Alongside development leaders and managers, maintains project coordination management, including entitlement, schedules, budgets, and planning for each project assigned.
  • Collaborates with internal team members throughout the development cycle to identify risks, roadblocks, as well as understand financial feasibility and other project hurdles in the development project approval process.
  • Develops and publishes project performance dashboards and reports as requested.
  • Recommends improvements to scheduling processes.
  • Coordinates and manages certain aspects of vendor and consultant relations which include, but are not limited to, phone calls, written communication, purchase order submissions, invoice tracking, related files and payment distributions.
  • Collaborates with LC's internal teams to advance development projects, which would include construction, pre-construction, capital markets, finance & accounting, development, and operations.
  • Hold and assist in project coordination meetings
  • Communicates with internal and exterior / consultant team members on plan changes and schedule variances.
  • Assists with planning and zoning with local municipalities in the assigned market.
  • Engages in various other projects to lead and direct as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree real estate, urban planning, architecture, business administration, or a related field or a combination of education and/or experience.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of professional, hands-on real estate experience preferably with a focus on multifamily, retail, and/or mixed-use with the demonstrated ability to oversee the entire lifecycle of project from concept through completion.
