Entry Level Sales Development Agent (Remote)

Job Summary:

The Sales Development Agent (SDA) is responsible for building early-stage pipeline through outbound prospecting, including LinkedIn outreach, cold calling, email campaigns, and other engagement strategies. The SDA will collaborate closely with sales and marketing to research target accounts, support outreach campaigns, gather market insights, and help initiate early-stage sales conversations. This role is designed to support both pipeline development and early-stage deal creation, working closely with Account Executives and marketing to identify and engage new opportunities.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify target accounts, key contacts, and industry opportunities using LinkedIn, prospecting tools, and other online resources
  • Conduct outbound outreach through cold calls, email campaigns, LinkedIn, and other engagement channels to initiate conversations with decision-makers
  • Maintain consistent prospecting activity while building relationships with potential customers
  • Engage with prospects to understand their business needs and identify potential opportunities for the sales team
  • Schedule discovery meetings for Account Executives when appropriate and support smooth handoffs for continued conversations
  • Prepare prospect and account briefs to support Account Executives in discovery and early-stage deal development
  • Support outbound campaigns tied to product launches, promotional initiatives, or other strategic efforts
  • Assist with event and conference preparation by building outreach lists, pre-booking meetings for sales representatives, and conducting post-event follow-up campaigns
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to refine messaging, outreach strategies, call scripts, and email templates based on prospect responses and engagement data
  • Gather and share insights from prospect conversations to inform sales messaging, campaign strategy, and market positioning
  • Track outreach activity, prospect engagement, and lead status within the CRM

  • Self-motivated and goal-driven with a proactive approach to prospecting and sales support
  • Resilient and persistent when engaging new prospects and navigating rejection
  • Experience with outbound prospecting and early-stage sales engagement preferred
  • Familiarity with sales prospecting tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, or ZoomInfo is a plus

Qualifications

  • 12 years of experience in sales development, lead generation, telemarketing, or a similar customer-facing role
