As part of this program, Student Intern II's are required to be currently enrolled in Mission College (proof of enrollment will be required).

The 2026 Summer Internship Program will run from June 2026 - August 2026. A list of current openings are provided below. Department of Public Works: The City of Santa Clara Department of Public Works/Traffic Engineering Division is currently seeking one (1) engineering intern.

This position is a great opportunity for students who are seeking experience in the field of Civil/Traffic Engineering. The position will provide the student with diverse job responsibilities including a variety of tasks and projects. The hours are part-time, within the hours of 8 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday.

Maintain library spaces by tidying up reading areas and ensuring materials are in their correct locations.

Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security (SSG) Assist in monitoring and analyzing security events across the network, endpoint, and cloud environments. Support vulnerability management activities, including scanning, remediation tracking, and reporting.

Assist in identifying, investigating, and documenting potential security incidents. Help maintain and enforce cybersecurity controls aligned with industry standards (e.g., NIST, CIS, NERC CIP). Assist in reviewing system configurations to ensure compliance with security baselines and hardening standards.
