Role Description

The SolidWorks Design Engineer is responsiblefor independently developing, analyzing, and supporting engineering designs forVIP aircraft interior completion, refurbishment, modification, and SupplementalType Certificate (STC) projects. This position applies advanced engineeringprinciples to create certifiable aircraft interior, structural, mechanical, andsystems modifications while ensuring compliance with FAA, EASA, customer, andcompany requirements.

Essential Job Functions

        Independentlydevelop engineering designs and modifications in support of VIP aircraftinterior completions, refurbishments, maintenance modifications, and STCprojects.

        Create, review,and approve detailed 2D engineering drawings and 3D CAD models utilizingapproved engineering software and company drafting standards.

        Performengineering analysis and substantiation activities supporting interiorfurnishings, aircraft structures, mechanical systems, avionics installations,and aircraft modifications.

        Developengineering reports, compliance documentation, certification data packages,installation instructions, and technical presentations.

        Coordinateengineering activities with Production, Program Management, Certification,Quality, Procurement, and external suppliers to ensure successful projectexecution.

        Support aircraftinstallation activities by resolving engineering discrepancies, fit, form, andfunction issues, and manufacturing challenges.

        Interface withFAA, EASA, Design Organization Approval (DOA) representatives, DesignatedEngineering Representatives (DERs), and other regulatory authorities asrequired.

        Participate indesign reviews and provide technical recommendations regarding certification,manufacturability, maintainability, and aircraft integration.

        Developengineering change orders, design revisions, and corrective actions asrequired.

        Reviewengineering documentation for technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, andadherence to company standards.

        Provide technicalmentorship and guidance to Associate Engineers and junior engineering staff.

        AssistEngineering Leadership with project planning, workload forecasting, andresource allocation activities.

        Maintain workingknowledge of FAA, EASA, and international certification requirements applicableto transport category aircraft.

        Supportcontinuous improvement initiatives related to engineering processes, designstandards, documentation quality, and project execution.

        Perform otherduties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications,Education and Experience

        Bachelor's degreein aerospace engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or arelated engineering discipline or 5 years' experience in aviation component,interior or systems design.

        Minimum of 0-5years of engineering experience in aircraft completions, aerospace, aviation,aircraft modification, certification, or a related technical field.

        Experiencesupporting aircraft interior completion projects, STC development, aircraftmodifications, or transport category aircraft certification activities.

        Ability to read,write, speak, and understand the English language.

        Ability to readand interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, certificationrequirements, and aircraft maintenance documentation.


Required Skills andAbilities

        Advancedproficiency with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software; AutoCAD required andSolidWorks preferred.

        Strong knowledgeof engineering design principles, manufacturing methods, and aircraftinstallation practices.

        Working knowledgeof FAA and EASA certification requirements, including 14 CFR Part 25 andassociated advisory materials.

        Experiencedeveloping engineering drawings, reports, compliance documentation, andcertification substantiation packages.

        Ability toindependently manage engineering assignments and technical deliverables withminimal supervision.

        Stronganalytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

        Ability toeffectively coordinate activities across Engineering, Production,Certification, Program Management, and Quality organizations.

        Proficiency withMicrosoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, andProject.

        Ability tocommunicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technicalaudiences.

        Strongorganizational and project management skills with the ability to managemultiple priorities simultaneously.

        Demonstratedability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.

        Experiencesupporting customer meetings, design reviews, and technical presentationspreferred.

        Aviation,aerospace, aircraft completion, or aircraft modification experience stronglypreferred.


Work Environment

This position is based inboth an office and aircraft hangar environment and may involve:

        Exposure tovarying temperatures and weather conditions when in the hanger
