BNC National Bank is seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Deposit Operations Manager to join our Glendale, AZ team. As part of our deposit and relationship management team, you will provide the proactive, friendly and efficient customer service that builds our consumer and small business customers’ trust and loyalty. Deposit Operations Managers are responsible for day-to-day operations of the branch deposit department. The DOM provides leadership for the branch development process, while developing and maintaining branch vision, goals and objectives.  The DOM provides leadership, direction and guidance of branch activities in achieving bank-wide goals and objectives and ensures that applicable banking laws and regulation, along with bank policy and procedures, are being followed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional delivery of all primary deposit and withdrawal services to customers (including all teller functions and opening of new checking, savings, and certificates of deposit accounts).
  • Responsible for supervising, training, and providing direction for all activities and staff in the deposit area.
  • Promote a sales environment within the bank.
  • Cultivate knowledge of products, services and customer interests.
  • Establish, maintain, and deepen customer relationships to achieve branch performance goals and provide excellent customer service.
  • Protect BNC and our customers by strictly following policies and procedures, maintaining bank security, and the confidentiality of customer information.
  • Provide back-up support to branch with day-to-day operational transactions.
  • Responsible for managing delinquent accounts in own portfolio.
  • Make good decisions in relation to customer overdraft report.
  • Develop and maintain a prospect list of potential customers.
  • Take responsibility for the development of a highly qualified staff that emphasizes action and results and consistently satisfies defined standards of performance.
  • Take responsibility for all branch operations.
  • Refer customers to other bank departments.
  • Promote and cross-sell all BNC products and services.
  • Resolve customer problems of all types.
  • Participate in community affairs to enhance the bank’s visibility and further personal development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Management Duties:

  • Responsible for effectively supervising, training, and leading team by using clear communication, providing motivation and support, selecting the right individuals for each task, assigning appropriate deadlines, setting key performance indicators to measure success, regularly reviewing performance, and making strategy adjustments as necessary.
  • Responsible for setting department goals that align with organizational objectives; develop and implement actionable strategies to help your team meet these goals.
  • Additional duties include but are not limited to: organizing employees’ schedules and tracking time; participating in selection of new staff; preparing training materials; recording employee accomplishments; and handling disciplinary actions, including voluntary and involuntary terminations.
What We’re Looking For:
  • High School Diploma required
  • 5+ years supervisory experience
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Sr. Personal Banker / Sr. Universal Banker / Sr. Bank Teller ( or related position)
