We're seeking a detail-oriented, problem-solving Deposit Operations Specialist to join our team in Ames. If you enjoy working behind the scenes to ensure operational excellence, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and take pride in accuracy, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

What You'll Do

As a Deposit Operations Specialist, you'll play a critical role in supporting the daily operations that keep our bank running smoothly and our customers well served. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Researching and resolving non-posted transactions for deposit accounts, including checking, savings, certificates of deposit, and financial management services accounts
  • Reviewing stop payment reports and determining eligibility for return items
  • Reconciling and balancing general ledger accounts in accordance with established procedures
  • Verifying signatures on large-dollar checks to help protect customers and the bank
  • Processing death routing forms and related account maintenance
  • Balancing ATM general ledger accounts and posting transactions accurately
  • Processing NSF notices and preparing outgoing mail
  • Assisting with document imaging and electronic record management
  • Delivering exceptional service by ensuring account transactions are handled accurately, efficiently, and professionally
