The New Washington State Bank is looking for a talented, detail oriented and organized Deposit Operations Representative to add to our team!  This position is located in NEW WASHINGTON INDIANA, and NOT REMOTE.  The representative will be responsible for the various day-to-day internal back-end processes performed by our Deposit Operations Department.  In addition, this position will also provide both internal and external support by assisting bank customers and team members.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Deposit Operations Representative ensures accurate and efficient handling of deposit processes. This role balances applications, including check disbursement accounts, processes returns promptly, and resolves Visa disputes. It also manages internal and external corrections, updates customer and account information, and performs research as needed. In addition, the representative responds to inquiries and provides support to both branch personnel and customers, delivering timely and reliable assistance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Account Balancing & Verification:
  • Balance applications such as DDA, SAV, IRA, CD, PT, Safe Deposit Box, ATM, VISA, Wire Transfers, Merchant Capture, Return Mail, Dormant Accounts, and CIP Issues.
  •  Verify totals and account setups with CSI.
  •  Verify same check number clearings.
  •  Verify Federal Reserve Cash letter totals daily.
  •  Check NSF accounts for errors.
  •  Manage all special rate accounts. 
  • Set rates at the account level and report to senior management.
Merchant Capture Support:
  • Review and approve merchant deposits.
Problem Resolution & Research:
  • Identify outages and perform problem-solving across all applications. 
  • Conduct research to resolve issues.
Compliance & Customer Service:
  • Follow all company policies and practices, setting an example for others in the branch. 
  • Ensure quick and proper responses to all reasonable customer requests. 
  • Conduct all transactions in compliance with applicable regulations.
Information Security:
  • Protect the Bank’s network and all forms of customer information. 
  • Ensure adherence to security protocols as part of every employee’s responsibility
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Prior bank experience required
  • Prior Customer Service Experience
