Summary
As the Manager, Operations you will be accountable for overseeing the day-to-day
operational activities of our main food processing facility; focusing on productivity,
performance, costs, efficiencies, KPI's and continuous improvement. You will manage and
lead various teams in the areas of production, logistics, distribution within a fast paced (JIT)
environment.

Primary Responsibilities
โ€ข Plan, direct and manage multi shift operations.
โ€ข Supporting Site Leader to enhance team member engagement.
โ€ข Review/set various department schedules, plans, products and manpower
requirements to ensure business objectives are met.
โ€ข Manage direct reports with staff in the areas of production, warehouse, and
sanitation.
โ€ข Develop and implement opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
โ€ข Preparation of annual budget including reviewing and recommending capital and
operational expenses, as well as monthly reporting
โ€ข Ensure that a safe working environment is maintained at all times by enforcing
Company/Industry standards.
โ€ข Support, mentor and train the front-line Team Leaders
โ€ข Provide Commitment to implement and maintain an effective BRC System and
support its ongoing improvement.
โ€ข Demonstrate that he/she is committed to the implementation of the requirements of CFIA,FDA and global standard for food safety and to processes which
facilitate continual improvement of food safety and quality management
Required Experience
โ€ข Minimum 6 years' leadership experience in Manufacturing, managing direct reports with staff
โ€ข Post-secondary education in Operations Management, Supply Chain or Business
preferred
โ€ข Food, Beverage or Consumer Packaging Goods experience highly preferred
โ€ข Solid knowledge of Operations & Supply chain (planning, purchasing, production,
distribution) required
โ€ข Hands-on leader with the ability to thrive in fast paced environment
โ€ข Strong decision maker and problem solver with excellent project management skills
โ€ข Ability to effectively coach, mentor and develop others
โ€ข Results oriented and strategic leader with excellent planning and organizational skills
โ€ข Effective verbal and written communication skills
โ€ข Working knowledge of GMP's, HACCP. ISO, GFSI & O.H.S.A
