Job description

What Channel Representative contributes to Cardinal Health
Direct Sales is responsible for driving sales and services to new and/or existing customers through face-to-face or telephone contact to meet individual and organizational sales objectives.
Channel Representative is responsible for providing enhanced relationship management for suppliers that translates into exceptional customer service, including maximizing the supply chain, negotiation of distribution and preferred product agreements, and below the line revenue. Promotes company products and services to Distributor sales resources and works to gain access to new customers
Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience, preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred

Key Responsibilities

Territory Management

  • Develop and execute territory business plans to achieve sales and growth objectives.
  • Identify, prioritize, and capitalize on new business opportunities within hospitals and distribution channels.
  • Create and implement account-specific growth strategies.
  • Monitor territory performance and proactively address performance gaps.

Hospital Account Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hospital stakeholders, including purchasing, supply chain, pharmacy, nursing leadership, operating room management, and physicians.
  • Support product standardization and formulary inclusion initiatives.
  • Monitor hospital activity, surgical volumes, and consumption trends to identify growth opportunities and mitigate potential risks.
  • Lead commercial negotiations aligned with company objectives.

Distributor Management

  • Develop strategic partnerships with distributors to maximize market coverage and sales growth.
  • Ensure alignment between Cardinal Health's commercial strategy and distributor execution.
  • Monitor inventory levels, sales performance, and business opportunities with channel partners.
  • Implement joint business plans and growth initiatives.

Demand Generation & Customer Engagement

  • Drive product adoption through educational activities, training sessions, and clinical value discussions.
  • Develop relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and other influential decision-makers.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by understanding customer needs and delivering value-based solutions.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Clinical Specialists to execute business development initiatives.

Sales Excellence

  • Maintain an accurate and healthy sales pipeline.
  • Provide reliable sales forecasts and business insights.
  • Effectively utilize CRM ( Sales Force) tools and sales analytics to support decision-making.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Compliance

  • Partner with internal teams including Marketing, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Finance, and Quality.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
  • Support post-sales activities to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience in B2B sales within healthcare, medical devices, life sciences, or related industries.
  • Experience managing hospital accounts.
  • Proven experience with commercial negotiations.
  • Strong territory management and sales planning experience.
  • Willingness to travel frequently. (~50% travel)
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred

  • Experience in medical devices or hospital products.
  • Experience managing distributors and indirect sales channels.
  • Knowledge of hospital procurement and product standardization processes.
  • CRM experience (Salesforce, Dynamics, SAP, or similar).
  • Intermediate English proficiency.
