Deposit Operations Specialist

JOB SUMMARY:

Assist in coordinating policies, procedures and processes related to the deposit area of the bank, including product optimization, Bank Secrecy Act, payment processing, and back office operations.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Edit new accounts and customer/account updates

Process/post payments

Assist with Mobile and Deposit Review

Provide support to branches by answering customer and branch phone calls and emails

Assist with functions of the Bank Secrecy Act program, including list matching, alert monitoring, transaction monitoring, tracking, analysis and report filing.

Assist in administering Individual Retirement Accounts and Health Savings Accounts.

Understand Item Processing flow and assist in returns (ACH and check) and research

Understand and assist with other functions within deposit operations as needed

Aid in implementation of new technologies

Assist in deposit department communication and training programs

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Ongoing BSA Compliance Training

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel

Ability to multi-task

Ability to problem solve
