Job description

About the Position:

As the Payment Operations Specialist I, you will perform the daily functions required to support the management of deposit product servicing and support.

What You Will Do:

  • Follow policies and procedures to input, verify, and release domestic and cross-border wire transfers.
  • Meet critical processing deadlines for all payment transactions including: ACH (Automated Clearing House), RTP (Real-time Transfer Protocol) and FedNow.
  • Serve as back-up support on mobile deposit transactions.
  • Create and submit cash letters to other institutions.
  • Detect and report risks associated with payment transactions.
  • Serve as a backup to coworkers and as additional support for operational functions within Payment Operations and other departments, as needed.
  • Ensure work product and entries are accurate while maintaining productivity according to bank processing deadlines and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • High school degree required.
  • Prior banking and/or payment operations experience required.
  • Proven attention to detail and excellent organizational skills required.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong PC skills required along with an ability to quickly learn new systems.

Working Conditions/Demands:

  • Professional office setting.
  • Must be able to move throughout the office and buildings to obtain or relay information as well as effectively utilize a remote support staff.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
