Job description

Capital Chevrolet of Wake Forest is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Commercial Lot Porter to support our growing Commercial Sales Department. This role is responsible for maintaining the appearance and organization of our commercial vehicle inventory while assisting the sales team with vehicle deliveries, inventory management, and deal processing. What You'll Be Doing

  • Maintain the organization, cleanliness, and overall appearance of the commercial vehicle lot 
  • Ensure commercial vehicles are properly staged, parked, and arranged according to dealership standards 
  • Move vehicles throughout the dealership as needed to support sales, service, and delivery operations
  • Prepare vehicles for customer delivery by ensuring they are clean, fueled, and presentation-ready 
  • Assist the Commercial Sales Team with deal processing by organizing paperwork, gathering vehicle information, and ensuring deliveries are completed efficiently. 
  • Help manage commercial vehicle inventory by tracking vehicle locations and maintaining accurate records 
  • Perform routine inspections of lot inventory and report any vehicle damage or maintenance concerns 
  • Provide friendly, professional customer service while assisting with vehicle deliveries and customer inquiries 
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment 
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support dealership operations 

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a lot porter, lot attendant, dealership assistant, or in a similar automotive role is preferred but not required 
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment 
  • Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and team-first mentality 
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks, including walking, standing, and moving vehicles throughout the day
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment background screenings
