Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Automobile Dealership Assistant Office Manager with strong accounting and management skills and a background in the automotive industry. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to advance their career.
The Assistant Office Manager will work closely with the General Manager and Department Managers to identify operational improvements and implement initiatives to increase revenue and reduce costs. The ideal candidate is a proven leader, effective trainer, and confident in achieving results.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the accounting office and support the Office Manager/Controller
  • Assist with deal breakdowns and posting lease, retail, and wholesale transactions
  • Process trade payoffs, daily deposits, and bank reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate accounting schedules and financial records
  • Process aftermarket warranties and coordinate vendor payments
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of all store financial transactions in compliance with company policies
  • Administer and enforce established policies and procedures
  • Manage and train office staff as needed
  • Conduct floorplan audits and assist with audits and compliance activities
  • Provide accounting support to all departments
  • Assist with month-end reports and financial procedures
