Job description

The Reporting Analyst is responsible for extracting, manipulating, and analyzing data to meet the needs of internal and external audiences. The Reporting Analyst uses knowledge of Choices operations to think critically about applied research needs and results to inform quality assurance, quality improvement and reporting activities. The Reporting Analyst works with multiple Choices team members to understand their evaluation and research needs and generates appropriate evaluation reports, dashboards, or other outputs to meet these needs. The incumbent must be able to respond to both fixed evaluation and quality assurance schedules and frequent ad hoc requests with a high attention to detail and a full understanding of the results represented.
Organizational Management
  • Assists in developing project-specific outcomes that are useful to project stakeholders.
  • Participates as an active team member in the planning, implementation and maintenance of projects (e.g., provide project management assistance, ongoing information for project improvement and model fidelity, etc.).
  • Regularly assesses the accuracy and timeliness of data collection activities and generate tools (e.g., Power BI reports and Power Automate flows) that assist project directors, managers, and supervisors in managing the quality of data collected by their team members.
  • Implements local evaluation and data collection activities and protocols to ensure quality assurance and the protection of human subjects.
  • Attends and participates in all relevant ARE/PQI meetings.
  • Willingly completes other duties as assigned to advance the mission of Choices.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, human services, or other related social sciences fields. Significant experience (work, certifications, or training) related directly to position duties may be considered as substitute for formal education.
  • Minimum of three to five years of experience designing and developing data visualizations using Power BI.
  • Three years of experience in research methods and statistics and applied experience conducting analyses on service and/or operations data.
  • One year of experience creating automation flows with Power Automate preferred.
  • Basic experience using relational databases and using query tools such as SQL to extract data for analysis preferred.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the protection of human subjects in research.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication skills for a variety of social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, innovation, and leadership in advancing the use of data to effectively drive decisions.
  • Ability to learn and become proficient with SmartCare database.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in workload with a positive attitude.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Strong business writing skills.
  • Access to reliable transportation. If driving an automobile while on company business, must possess a valid driver's license in state of residence and auto insurance.
  • Demonstrated ability to:
    • Work effectively with internal and external individuals, including other professionals in the community.
    • Work effectively as a member of a team.
    • Effectively communicate to various internal and external audiences in both person and through various electronic media.
    • Manage time and work effectively with minimal supervision.
    • Effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Salary: $60,000-$64,000 (Annually depending on experience)
