Description
First Financial Bank has an immediate opening for a Loan Processor at the Corporate Office located in El Dorado, Arkansas.
The primary responsibility of this position is to process payments for all loans and participations for all divisions as well as loan set up and maintenance.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school graduate; Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with an emphasis in business/accounting. Four to six years related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
COMPLEXITY: (Mental Skill) Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, loan officers, and customers. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, and volume. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Process disbursements (wires and checks) for all divisions. Post integrator, dairy, and customer check/wires, figure payments, and post to loans. Loan set-up and disburse funds. Maintain master posting book and send to offices. Verify assignments sent from AG Offices. Modifications and Extensions. Frequently assist in participation set up on loans sold. Frequently assist in changing loans from interest only to permanent status. Frequently assist in MDA participations. Send payoffs to offices - keep up with pre-payment penalties and notify SBA of payoff. Send all loan payoffs requested from offices. Frequently assist in all Note Maintenance forms. Workstation balance at end of day - check loan participation report. SBA - answer all questions and research discrepancies. Suspense GL report - frequently assist in reconciling GL for each office. Phone calls - work with assistants in offices with questions and troubleshooting. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Must have excellent organization skills and be able to work well under pressure with strict deadlines. Must have excellent communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills. Requires a strong computer background in MS Excel and Word.
