PC Support Technician

Role Overview

The PC Refresh Technician supports the enterprise PC refresh program by preparing, imaging, deploying, configuring, and validating end?user devices. This includes hardware setup, software deployment, application configuration, data migration, and user support. The technician ensures refreshed devices meet company standards and are fully operational at handoff.

Key Responsibilities


  • Device Imaging Configure and image Windows 11 devices using company?approved tools (SCCM, MECM Autopilot)
  • Hardware Deployment Stage, deploy, and validate new laptops/desktops for end users.
  • Software Deployment Deploy required applications using enterprise tools and validate successful installation.
  • User Data Migration Assist with data backup, transfer, and profile setup.
  • On?site Support Provide desk?side assistance during refresh events, including peripheral setup and basic troubleshooting.
  • Asset Tracking Update asset records, tag devices, and ensure accurate inventory documentation.
  • Device Retirement Wipe, decommission, and prepare old hardware for disposal or recycling.
  • Customer Service Communicate clearly with end users, schedule appointments, and ensure a positive refresh experience.

Qualifications


  • 1 3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or hardware deployment.
  • Strong understanding of Windows 10/11, device imaging, and basic networking.
  • Experience with enterprise tools such as SCCM, Intune, Autopilot, or similar.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment (up to ~40 lbs).
  • Excellent communication and customer?service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
