Data Migration Developer - Facets

About the role
The Data Migration Developer (Facets) will work with the Data Migration Team
In this role, you will:
• Troubleshoot problems ranging from coding issues, connectivity issues, and client relation issues.
• Utilizing the architecture defined by the Solution Architect, implement a data migration framework for the Client.
• Manage intake of Client extracts. Communicate any data issues to client technical resources.
• Where applicable, act as the liaison between the DM client facing Business Analyst and the DM Development Team to ensure business processes, requirements, and specifications are understood. Support the DM Development Team by answering coding/technical questions, loading data, etc.
• Develop, upgrade, test, implement, and document data migration toolkits to meet project requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise including connectivity issues and application issues.
• Build and execute unit test cases to ensure data conversion quality and integrity.
• Perform data analysis and profiling of legacy and converted data.
• Load converted data to Facets via batch processes and/or custom jobs as needed.
• Prepare post load deliverables including Scorecards, Dashboards, batch logs, and custom report output.
• Assist in defect resolution by researching issues identified in Unit Test, SIT, UAT, Mock and Production
• Support the process design for loading of data to appropriate database(s) via batch processes and/or custom jobs as needed.
• Support the DM Solution Architect by providing potential solutions to client specific data and mapping issues discovered either by the TZG team or the client.
• Partner with the Lead Business Analyst to triage issues identified in TZG Unit Testing, Client Data Validation, SIT, UAT, Mock Go Lives and Production. Communicate to Data Migration Development Team defect corrections and new requirements as needed.
• Generate all required technical documentation for a project. (Functional/Technical Specifications, Approach, Design, Deployment procedures etc.)

What you need to have to be considered
• BA/BS in Business Administration, Information Systems Management, Computer Science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
• 1-3 years of experience with the Facets product, Facets configuration, data model, and batch processing
• 3-5 years of experience developer performing as a key contributor on project teams
• Experience of software tools, platforms, and processes such as SQL, PL/SQL, C#, AWS suite of tools, Python, Informatica or similar ETL tool
• Experience working with Oracle DB and MS SQL DB.
• Snowflake experience preferred
• Proficiency in analysis, and communication skills, data profiling and analysis, and unit testing and data validation
• Solid understanding of data model concepts

The annual salary for this position is between $67,000 - $132,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
