Job Summary
  • Seeking a Data Scientist to support mission-driven analytics by transforming complex data into actionable insights through advanced analysis, visualization, and data processing techniques
  • This role focuses on aggregating, curating, and validating data while developing clear, impactful visualizations that support decision-making
  • The ideal candidate has strong experience with Python and Jupyter environments, as well as familiarity with customer-specific dataflows and processing pipelines

Primary Responsibilities
  • Analyze and interpret complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
  • Develop and deliver data visualizations, dashboards, and reports using graphs, charts, and other visual tools
  • Perform data aggregation, processing, and curation to ensure data quality and usability
  • Identify, investigate, and support correction of data errors and inconsistencies
  • Utilize Python and Jupyter notebooks for data analysis, modeling, and visualization development
  • Work with customer dataflows and processing pipelines to support ingestion, transformation, and analysis of data
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate mission needs into analytic solutions
  • Support development and application of statistical methods and analytic techniques

Required Qualifications
  • Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (MD Customer)
  • Master's degree with 6 years of relevant experience, Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or Associate's Degree with 10 years of in-depth relevant experience that is clearly related to the position
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis and processing
  • Experience using Jupyter Notebooks for data exploration, modeling, and visualization
  • Strong ability to analyze and interpret complex datasets
  • Experience with data aggregation, processing, and curation
  • Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and correct data errors and inconsistencies
  • Experience working with customer-specific dataflows and data processing pipelines
  • Strong skills in data visualization (creating graphs, charts, dashboards to present findings)
  • Understanding of structured and unstructured data handling
  • Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly to stakeholders

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and AI/LLM technologies is highly desirable

Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate's experience and qualifications.
The pay range for this role is:
135,000 - 180,000 USD per year (Ft. Meade MD)
