Cybersecurity Sales Executive | Full-Time

Up to 50% Travel - Midwest Candidates Preferred

The Cybersecurity Sales Executive is responsible for driving net new business growth for Koniag Cyber by developing strategic relationships and positioning tailored cybersecurity solutions. This role is focused on consultative, enterprise-level sales and requires a strong understanding of cybersecurity services, compliance-driven environments, and complex solution selling.

The ideal candidate brings an established network within industries such as healthcare, financial services, energy, manufacturing, defense, or government contracting, along with a proven ability to open doors, build executive relationships, and close high-value cybersecurity engagements.

What You’ll Accomplish:

  • Land new logos aligned with Koniag Cyber’s strategic growth objectives
  • Build and execute outbound prospecting strategies to generate qualified pipeline and exceed annual sales targets.
  • Position and sell cybersecurity solutions across assessment, prevention, detection, response, and recovery services.
  • Develop trusted relationships with CISOs, CIOs, IT leaders, risk executives, compliance stakeholders, and operational leadership teams.
  • Identify customer pain points related to cybersecurity risk, regulatory compliance, operational resilience, and threat management.
  • Lead consultative sales conversations around services such as:
  • Zero Trust architecture
  • Managed Detection amp; Response (MDR)
  • Security Operations Center (SOC) services
  • Incident Response
  • Penetration Testing
  • Compliance Assessments (CMMC, NIST, HIPAA, PCI, GLBA, etc.)
  • Cloud and infrastructure security
  • Create strategic account plans that align Koniag Cyber’s capabilities to client business and security objectives.
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle including pipeline generation, qualification, proposal development, contract negotiation, forecasting, and close.
  • Collaborate closely with cybersecurity practice leaders, solution architects, and delivery teams to craft tailored client solutions.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, opportunity tracking, and CRM hygiene across all stages of the sales funnel.
  • Represent Koniag Cyber at industry events, conferences, networking functions, and cybersecurity forums to build market awareness and relationships.
  • Ensure a high-quality client experience through proactive communication, responsiveness, and escalation management.
  • Partner with account leadership teams to transition strategic clients for long-term account growth and expansion opportunities.

What You'll Bring:

  • 3+ years of enterprise technology or cybersecurity sales experience with a proven track record of exceeding quota.
  • Experience selling cybersecurity consulting, managed security services, MDR/SOC, cloud security, compliance solutions, or related professional services.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, threat landscapes, and regulatory frameworks impacting highly regulated industries.
  • Demonstrated success building executive-level relationships and navigating complex sales cycles.
  • Experience selling into one or more of the following industries preferred: Healthcare, Financial Services, Energy and Utilities, or Manufacturing amp; Industrial.
  • Ability to communicate technical and business value to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and consultative selling skills.
  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
