Client Service Representative - Veterinary Receptionist
Seneca Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Client Service Representative (CSR) to join our team of dedicated veterinary professionals at our full-service hospital in Louisville, KY.
CSRs are valuable members of our veterinary team, and we treat them as such. As a CSR, you will be the client's first and last impression of Seneca Animal Hospital. It's important that all clients feel welcome, safe, and comfortable, which is why it takes a special person who can engage with both humans and animals alike with compassion, patience and understanding. The primary responsibility of a CSR is to be efficient in front desk operations while effectively bridging communication between pet owners and our veterinary team.
Seneca Animal Hospital has been established in the Louisville area for over 35 years, providing high-quality medicine and exceptional patient and client care in the community. Our veterinary team is dedicated and well-trained, and we pride ourselves on our relaxed atmosphere. There are no late hours and no on-call shifts. Work-life balance is very important to us.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Greet and welcome each visitor and assess their needs
  • Handle incoming phone calls/emails and determine the urgency
  • Perform client check-ins and check-outs, including reviewing invoices
  • Communicate visit expectations to clients, assist owners with pet management to minimize unsafe situations and client's stress
  • Process and document financial transactions accurately
  • Schedule appointments based on client expectations, patient medical requirements and clinic needs
  • Manage emergency situations and walk-ins
  • Respond to online requests for products, prescriptions or client questions in a timely manner
  • Maintain cleanliness in the lobby areas, exam rooms, and general stocking of client or patient areas
  • Recommend products available to clients through our facilities
Skills and Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • At least one year of professional experience in a veterinary clinical setting (CSR, kennel attendant, vet assistant, other), preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to problem solve
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Team player, have patience and maintain a positive attitude
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
