Job description

Senior Design Engineer needed for growing company with excellent reputation and employee satisfaction is looking to fill a key role in their design department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone that has 5-10 years of experience in design of complex parts or components in the automotive or agricultural marketplace. 3D Design background in Solidworks is required. Previous launch experience with new product is required.

Requirements:

•Associate’s degree in Design, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Design Engineering; Bachelor degree preferred;

•At least 10+ years of experience in component design in Solidworks required

•Must be multi-task oriented to balance several tasks and projects simultaneously;

•Familiarity with IBM compatible PC and relevant software applications (i.e. Microsoft Office etc...) Solidworks required, Auto CAD 2013, UG, PTC Creo

•Possesses strong interpersonal skills communicating both verbally and in writing with outside customers as well as those internally;

Duties:

•Designs industrial components from initial concept through final detailed designs;

•Communicates with customer’s engineers to assist in the design if the product;

•Optimizes manufacturing costs through improvements in design ;

•Assists with design tooling aids for manufacturing;

•Works with plant manufacturing engineering and operations for purpose of developing lean manufacturing processes;

•Works with internal and external suppliers on the design and specification of components;

•Determines routings for new products;

•Maintains Sales Engineering contacts with customers;

•Performs other duties as assigned.
