What you will do

The Associate Manager, Customer Development (ACDM) is a key representative responsible for the customer relationship. The ACDM owns end-to-end category performance including strategy, forecasting, trade investment, and execution and will have direct selling responsibility along with analytics responsibility for several categories.  The ACDM is accountable for achieving shipment goals and consumption sales objectives by handling an assigned product group(s) at a customer team. The ACDM develops and executes customer-specific business plans that support and are aligned to customer and marketing strategies. This role owns key priorities to track progress and adjusts the plan as needed to deliver results. The ACDM runs a trade promotional budget for efficient ROI and ensures internal/external alignment while growing and maintaining relationships with key partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business plans to deliver sales results, including improved volume potential, increased merchandising effectiveness, growth of product group(s) and brand share
  • Focus on strategic categories that are essential for the growth of the customer and Kenvue
  • Drive sales growth by uncovering business opportunities via deep-dive analytics, independently discerning trends and providing insights-based recommendations. Data sources include: retailer loyalty data, syndicated data (Nielsen, Circana, Numerator), marketplace, eCommerce data sources and household panel assessments
  • Ensure data is accurately formed, reported and error-free through careful review and refinement prior to performing analysis
  • Lead advanced analytics to identify growth opportunities, shape category strategy, and influence internal and customer decision-making
  • Leverage business analytics to influence customer and company decision making at top-to-top levels, utilizing internal/customer business systems to develop and improve plans
  • Create, establish and/or run customer-specific scorecards to monitor sales progress, identify and close sales gaps
  • Regularly reconcile payments, update promotional plans and manage trade investment to stay within budget and improve ROI
  • Accurately forecast monthly sales by franchise and/or brand and special packs/displays
  • Serve as “voice of customer” to company to address customer needs and accomplish goals and objectives, including launch of new items and optimal 4P execution
  • Influence across the organization to ensure full alignment to the customer/company business plan and drive long-term business objectives

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field
  • At least two years of experience in a consumer package goods environment in sales, business analytics, category management, shopper marketing/insights, logistics or related field
  • Demonstrate effective communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to interpret and communicate sophisticated business data
  • Ability to prioritize and to effectively lead multiple projects/initiatives
  • Ability to handle conflict and negotiate successfully
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
  • Strong digital literacy, including MS Office Suite applications, sales database, and web applications

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical background, and/or category management experience
  • Prior sales experience
  • Experience working with Nielsen/Circana and Numerator
  • Experience working on a platinum customer or national account

What’s in it for you

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:

$110,500.00 - $156,000.00

This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
