Job description

Description Seeking a friendly, welcoming, and helpful Customer Service and Billing Assistant to join our dynamic team. This position provides customer service and administrative and technical support for the Community Relations and Finance Departments. Examples of Duties Key Responsibilities include: First point of contact for visitors entering the main Administration Building; greets visitors.

Answer main telephone line and directs calls. Organize, schedule, and prepare for meetings and special events, including assistance with monthly Board meetings. Gather, secure, and verify information to prepare documents and presentations.

Conduct data entry of information by developing and maintaining spreadsheets, databases, and various computer files. Maintain electronic and paper filing systems for department(s). Prepare and execute large mailings.

Distribute and process incoming/outgoing mail daily. Request, issue and review for accuracy purchase orders, invoices, and check requests. Maintain the overall operation and service for the organization's postage machine; order supplies and maintain inventory.

Provide back-up support for Customer Service Representatives, including cross-training on cashiering, general customer support, and customer engagement. Assist Customer Service Manager with special projects, including assistance with preparing data and reports. Help in tracking key performance indicators for the Customer Service and Billing Team.

Typical Qualifications Position Qualifications: Position requires a high school diploma or GED with two years' experience working in an administrative and/or customer service role. Notary Public and Certified Client Service Specialist required within one year of hire. (OWASA will cover the cost of training and certification.) Ability to effectively communicate information to customers, public, and other staff

Proficient in Microsoft Office and SharePoint and all office equipment. Supplemental Information Our team members are our most important resource.
