Job Description

The Supply Chain / Materials Planner is responsible for coordinating supply chain activities, supporting production planning, and ensuring material availability to meet business and customer requirements. This role involves data analysis, cross-functional coordination, and continuous improvement within supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

  • Apply planning and change management decisions to develop optimal supply chain solutions

  • Utilize Supply Chain Management (SCM) methodologies to ensure effective coordination across the supply chain

  • Collaborate with customer support, purchasing, engineering, quality, warehousing, suppliers, and customers

  • Incorporate Bills of Material (BOM) and production schedules into planning activities

  • Manage and coordinate part number attributes

  • Release, track, and maintain production and purchase orders

  • Identify, document, and resolve order delinquencies

  • Monitor and report schedule adherence issues

  • Develop and implement inventory plans to meet operational needs

  • Analyze and disposition excess and obsolete inventory

  • Support and drive process improvement initiatives

  • Work under general supervision in a fast-paced environment

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • 2+ years of experience in Supply Chain and/or Materials Management

  • 1 2 years of experience with tools such as CribMaster and Ariba

  • 1+ year of experience in a dynamic environment with changing priorities and strong customer service focus

  • 1+ year of experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data, and presenting insights to management

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • 2+ years of experience in Aerospace or Manufacturing industry

  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, ERPLN, or REDARS

  • 2+ years of purchasing experience

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree with typically 3+ years of related work experience, or

  • Master's degree with typically 1+ year of related work experience, or

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
