Job description

Are you looking for a job in the Food Service field that will gives you weekends off? Are you interested in working in a professional setting?

Then consider a position with Creative Dining Services at the newly renovated MSUFCU building in East Lansing, Michigan!

Creative Dining Services is currently looking for a Part Time General Food Service Worker at MSUFCU in East Lansing, MI. The General Food Service Worker performs a wide range of duties involved with preparing and/or serving food and beverages in one or more of a variety of food service environments. May assist in set up and service; and collection of garbage/trash; as appropriate to the area of operation. May serve food to customers and/or perform cashiering duties, as appropriate.

Schedule:

Monday, Wednesday and Thursday: 7:30am-1pm with 30-minute break

Tuesday and Friday: 7:30am-3pm, with 30-minute break.

Core Responsibilities of the General Food Service Worker:

  • Set up breakfast bar and salad bar facilities
  • Front of House cleaning and stocking
  • Cashiering
  • Coffee shop
  • Prepare for and/or assists with Catering events
  • Prep and Serve food items to customers from counters and/or steam tables
  • Assist with dishwashing
  • Crosstrain on all stations
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • High School graduate or equivalent preferred
  • One year of Food Service experience
  • Basic reading and math skills
  • Must be able to communicate and understand primary language(s) use by guests who typically visit the work location
