Job Description

About Acrisure

A global fintech leader, Acrisure empowers millions of ambitious businesses and individuals with the right solutions to grow boldly forward. Bringing cutting-edge technology and top-tier human support together, we connect clients with customized solutions across a range of insurance, reinsurance, payroll, benefits, cybersecurity, mortgage services – and more.

In the last twelve years, Acrisure has grown in revenue from $38 million to almost $5 billion and employs over 19,000 colleagues in more than 20 countries. Acrisure was built on entrepreneurial spirit. Prioritizing leadership, accountability, and collaboration, we equip our teams to work at the highest levels possible.

Job Summary

Acrisure is seeking a Creative Director to build and lead the creative function that will define how Acrisure looks, speaks, and shows up in the world. This is a foundational hire, reporting directly to the CMO, for a company that has scaled to nearly $5 billion in revenue and is now ready to build the brand that reflects its ambition. The number one skill of a great Creative Director is having sharper instincts for what makes work great, and the authority and decisiveness to act on them.

The mandate begins with brand: visual identity, design systems, voice, and a web experience worthy of a global fintech leader, extending over time into integrated campaigns, demand generation, and full-funnel creative output across every touchpoint. You'll own the creative vision end-to-end, leading a multi-layered, global creative organization, directing agency and vendor relationships, and ensuring creative drives measurable business outcomes, including growth, differentiation, and engagement by producing the work yourself, not just approving it. This role extends beyond Marketing to influence how Acrisure shows up across Product, Sales, Corporate Communications, and Executive Leadership. This is a rare opportunity to define what a Fortune-caliber insurance and fintech brand looks and sounds like, with direct C-suite access and the scale to make your work matter globally.

Responsibilities:

Own Brand Identity & Visual Systems

  • Define Acrisure's brand identity - visual language, design system, typography, color, motion, voice, and tone - building a coherent creative foundation that scales across products, markets, and audiences.
  • Own Acrisure's web experience as a living brand touchpoint - leading the initial redesign and continuing to evolve it, so it reflects the scale, sophistication, and ambition of the business over time.
  • Establish brand standards, guidelines, and governance frameworks that enable internal teams, business-unit marketing teams, and external partners to produce on-brand work consistently and at speed across the organization.
  • Bring craft and intentionality to every brand touchpoint, from executive presentations and event experiences to social content and sales collateral.

Lead Creative Strategy & Storytelling

  • Develop compelling brand narratives that make Acrisure's complex, multi-product portfolio accessible, differentiated, and memorable across audiences - from enterprise buyers to individual clients.
  • Partner with the CMO to shape Acrisure’s brand strategy and translate it into creative strategy, then translate creative strategy into exceptional work.
  • Lead creative for flagship events, sponsorships, and high-visibility brand moments.
  • As the function matures, extend creative ownership into integrated demand generation campaigns, performance creative, and full-funnel marketing programs.

Build & Lead the Creative Organization

  • Serve as Acrisure's creative conscience - championing great work, raising the bar, and building a culture where craft and strategic thinking go hand in hand.
  • Build and lead a multi-layer creative organization including senior leaders across disciplines (e.g. design, content, production).
  • Oversee the ecosystem of agency relationships aligned to enterprise strategy, ensuring external partners deliver work that meets Acrisure's standards and strategic goals.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Product, Communications, and Revenue leadership to ensure creative is aligned with business priorities across every stage of growth.
  • Define and implement the creative operating model, establishing how the enterprise creative function works alongside business-unit and regional teams to deliver consistent, high-quality work at scale.
  • Build repeatable creative workflows and production systems that allow the team to scale output without sacrificing quality.

Required Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of creative experience across agency and in-house environments, with a portfolio demonstrating both design craft and brand strategy at scale.
  • Proven track record of building or significantly elevating a brand - from visual identity and web to campaigns and experiential.
  • Experience leading and growing creative organizations, including hiring, mentoring, and developing diverse creative talent.
  • Ability to operate at the C-suite level - translating executive vision into creative strategy, and creative strategy into exceptional, measurable work.
  • Deep fluency across creative disciplines: brand identity, visual design, copywriting, motion, digital, and experiential, whether you produce it yourself or direct those who do.
  • Experience managing agency and vendor ecosystems, knowing when to build in-house versus bring in outside expertise, and a deep understanding of how creative teams operate — with the ability to identify when processes need to evolve and the leadership to drive that change.
  • A builder's mindset — able to create structure from scratch in a fast-moving, high-growth, multi-product B2B environment.

Why this Role Matters
