Position Summary


Great customer relationships don't happen by chance - they're built through trust, innovation, and exceptional execution. As our National Account Manager, you'll build lasting customer relationships, grow existing accounts, and help retailers succeed through thoughtful planning, exceptional service, and flawless execution.


Essential Functions (Duties & Responsibilities)


Strategic Account Leadership


Collaborate with the VP of Sales and Marketing to develop and execute strategic account plans for assigned national grocery, club, and mass retail customers, supporting sales and profitability objectives while delivering long-term customer success.

Build trusted relationships with retail buyers and key decision-makers by delivering innovative plant programs, exceptional service, and consistent execution.


Account Growth & Development


Identify opportunities to grow existing customer accounts by expanding product assortment, increasing distribution, introducing new programs, and growing business across existing banners, divisions, and regions.

Develop and deliver strategic business reviews, category presentations, and customer-specific recommendations - including seasonal programs, promotional initiatives, and merchandising strategies that align with retailer objectives and drive sales growth.


Customer Success & Execution


Ensure the successful execution of customer programs from forecasting and order management through final delivery by partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.

Analyze account performance and sales results to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and account growth.


Market & Industry Leadership


Stay informed on consumer trends, category insights, competitive activity, pricing, and product innovation to bring fresh ideas and strategic recommendations to customers.

Represent Rocket Farms at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events while strengthening customer relationships and serving as a knowledgeable ambassador for the Rocket Farms brand.

Additional Responsibilities

Perform other duties as assigned in support of department and company objectives.


Business Travel Requirement


This role requires approximately 20-25% travel

Requirements

 Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Experience)


Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

5+ years of National Account Management or strategic sales experience supporting grocery, club, or mass retail customers.

Demonstrated success growing existing customer accounts and achieving sales and profitability objectives

Experience within the floral, horticulture, produce, perishables, or other consumer packaged goods (CPG) industries required.

Strong relationship-building, presentation, negotiation, and business planning skills with the ability to influence retail buyers and key decision-makers.

Proven ability to analyze sales data, identify growth opportunities, and develop strategic customer recommendations.

Experience with CRM, EDI, syndicated scan/category management data, and ERP systems (Microsoft NAV experience preferred).

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.


Compensation Range: $100,000. - $145,000.  

Physical Requirements 


While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; frequently required to talk or hear; and occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities by this job include close distance and color vision.
