Job description

At BHS Corrugated North America, we are looking for a Logistics Supervisor to oversee shipping, receiving, inventory control, and logistics operations at our Knoxville manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, enjoys solving problems, and can balance hands-on logistics coordination with operational oversight.

What Youโ€™ll Do
  • Oversee all shipping and receiving activities for incoming and outgoing materials, parts, rolls, and equipment
  • Coordinate logistics for shipments to customers, vendors, and internal locations
  • Verify incoming materials and resolve discrepancies with purchasing and inventory records
  • Monitor inventory levels to support manufacturing demand and forecasted orders
  • Manage inventory transactions and material movement in SAP
  • Coordinate warranty and parts return activities, including vendor shipments and assessments
  • Oversee hazardous waste inventory, storage, compliance, and disposal activities in accordance with regulations
  • Support emergency and after-hours logistics needs, including weekend and on-call situations when required
  • Safely support loading and unloading operations using forklifts and material handling equipment
  • Work cross-functionally with manufacturing, purchasing, service, and operations teams to keep materials flowing efficiently
  • Promote a safe work environment and maintain compliance with company safety standards
What Weโ€™re Looking For
  • Experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or inventory management within a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and inventory tracking processes
  • Ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Experience operating or working around forklifts and material handling equipment
  • Knowledge of shipping coordination, inventory control, and warehouse operations
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across departments
  • Flexibility to support urgent production or customer needs, including occasional after-hours support
Bonus Points If You Have
  • Experience in manufacturing logistics or industrial equipment environments
  • Hazardous materials or hazardous waste handling/compliance experience
  • Experience supporting field service or emergency shipment operations
  • CDL's are preferred
