Job description

Hexcel is currently seeking a Corrugated Products Operator for our Casa Grande, AZ, USA location. Start rate: $25.00 Per Hour during the New Hire Orientation Period - normally 90 calendar days, then increases to $27.31 Per Hour. This position is on Swing shift (3:00PM to 11:00PM, Monday - Friday + O/T as required) and pays a $1.75 per hour shift premium
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
  • Processes non-metallic corrugated products from start to completion of process. Mainly responsible for processing HRP-C, HRP flex core, 16# HDC and 17.5# HDC products.
  • Performs a wide variety of tasks associated with corrugated products to include, sheet trim, lay-up, adhesive cure, splicing and inspecting.
  • Checks material for visual defects prior to packing and reports any problems to a supervisor.
  • Responsible for setup and operation of the vertical saws, Black Brothers Roll Coater, and Watlow controlled dispatch ovens.
  • Inspects and presents to customers products that meet or exceed the product specifications.
  • Performs various computer transactions to issue raw materials, WIP materials, and stocks inspected slices for shipment.
  • Performs source inspections and wraps and packs product.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year experience required preferably in manufacturing. Minimum of 6 months manufacturing experience in the Hexcel Casa Grande facility may substitute in lieu of one year experience. Previous Hexcel experience preferred.
  • Must be proficient in use of tape measure and ruler.
  • Basic working knowledge of computer data entry function preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Must be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
