Job description

Position Purpose:

To provide a friendly, welcoming and professional environment for callers and visitors of the BCI corporate office while maintaining security and efficiency.  In addition, the Corporate Receptionist will be responsible for managing the front desk and supporting daily administrative functions.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Tasks related to this hourly non-exempt full-time position may vary and are not limited to those listed below:

  • Front Desk Management - Welcome visitors and notify appropriate personnel 
  • Call Handling - Screen and transfer all incoming phone calls or take messages as appropriate
  • Mail & Deliveries - Process all incoming and outgoing mail and packages; arrange all courier and expedited delivery for front office shipments via platforms such as FedEx, UPS, etc.
  • Office Security - Ensure that visitor check-in procedures are followed; inventory key fobs & oversee distribution in collaboration with IT
  • Office Maintenance - Arrange for needed maintenance and utility repairs; arrange third party cleaning company contract/schedule; schedule periodic carpet cleaning & glass cleaning; order office, kitchen, and bathroom supplies, as required and maintain a reasonable supply level; keep kitchen and front desk area clean and tidy
  • Meeting Coordination - Book Corporate conference rooms; order food for customer and business meetings as requested
  • Administrative Support - Update, maintain and distribute contact and general information lists; assist with filing, data entry, copying and preparing correspondence

Skill Set:

  • Friendly and personable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Qualifications Desired:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-5 years of experience as a receptionist in a professional office setting
