About the Role: The Escrow Assistant plays a vital supporting role in the real estate transaction process by assisting with the accurate and timely completion of title settlement and escrow activities. This position supports the coordination of various aspects of the closing process, including document preparation, review, and execution, to help facilitate the smooth transfer of property ownership. The Escrow Assistant works closely with Escrow Officers, lenders, and attorneys to help resolve issues, gather information, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including familiarity with multiple state frameworks. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for supporting multiple transactions at once and maintaining accurate records. Ultimately, the Escrow Assistant contributes to a seamless and positive closing experience for all parties, supporting the overall success of the real estate transaction under the direction of experienced escrow professionals.
Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Some demonstrated experience in title settlement, escrow processes, or real estate administrative support (entry-level candidates with strong transferable skills may be considered).
  • Basic knowledge of title documents, and settlement procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with relevant software tools used in title and settlement operations.
Preferred Qualifications:

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing closing documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations, under the supervision of an Escrow Officer.
  • Support coordination with lenders, and attorneys to schedule and facilitate closing appointments.
  • Help verify that conditions of the refinance are met prior to closing, including assisting with the resolution of title issues or liens..
  • Communicate effectively with all parties involved to help address questions, resolve discrepancies, and provide updates throughout the closing process.
