Job Overview

We are currently looking for a Senior Financial Analyst - Corporate Accounting to join our team onsite in Holland, MI.
As the Senior Financial Analyst - Corporate Accounting, you will play a key role in supporting the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of US GAAP financial reporting within a multinational environment. This position partners with global accounting teams to execute and enhance month-end close processes, ensure compliance with accounting policies, and drive continuous improvement through automation and analytics. The role requires strong technical accounting expertise, analytical capabilities, and the ability to operate effectively across multiple geographies and stakeholders.

Essential Functions
  • Perform reconciliations by analyzing balance sheet detail, document and resolve out of balances in a timely manner.
  • Lead the defined area of support month and year end processes and complete the process within the deadline.
  • Ensure accurate and consistent application of accounting policies across global entities.
  • At the direction of department Leadership, conduct work and activities that support established Strategic Financial Initiatives.
  • Lead and coordinate the development of annual corporate financial plans and budgets to meet corporate objectives.
  • Lead and manage special projects related to accounting and finance, such as system implementations or process improvements.
  • Mentor and train Finance members on processes and standard of work.
  • Conduct complex financial analysis, develop financial models, and provide recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation.
  • Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
  • Performs other duties within scope as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • Education Equivalency:
    • Associate's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field plus 2 years of professional accounting, finance and analytical experience with progressively expanding duties or,
    • 4 years of professional accounting, finance and analytical experience with progressively expanding duties, if no post-secondary education.
    • Military Equivalency at www.mynextmove.org/vets/find/military

Work Experience:

  • 5 years of professional accounting, finance and analytical experience with progressively expanding duties with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field or,
  • 3 years of professional accounting, finance and analytical experience with progressively expanding duties with a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field. 

In addition:

  • Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 10 percent of the time.
  • Ability to work onsite in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) or Master's in Science of Accounting (MSA) desired. 
  • Certified Public Accounting (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is strongly preferred. 
  • Experience with SAP (or similar ERP system).
  • Experience in furniture, manufacturing, public accounting or retail industry.  
  • Experience with supporting manufacturing or corporate business groups.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills to gather, analyze and report data.
