Job description

Finance Leadership Scope

As Director of Finance/Controller, you’ll lead the finance and accounting function to deliver accurate, timely insights that help leadership make sound decisions. This role exists to strengthen reporting discipline, improve processes through lean thinking, and ensure strong controls across a complex, multi-entity environment.
Key responsibilities include overseeing monthly/annual financial statements, audit and budget cycles; guiding AP, payroll, cash management, and billing/cash application; building KPI development & performance management routines; managing treasury/FX and bank covenant reporting; supporting AR risk management; and ensuring US GAAP compliance, including ASC 606 revenue recognition.
Required qualifications/skills:
- Active CPA
- Multi-entity & multi-currency consolidation experience
- Advanced MS Excel (pivot tables, Power Query, modeling); SharePoint; Power BI
- Experience with Sage ERP, Solver Reporting System, and Cargowise (or comparable TMS)
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and ethical conduct; AI systems proficiency
If you’re a CPA ready to elevate a high-impact finance function, apply today.

A Typical Workday

Your day starts with a quick scan of dashboards and cash position, then you connect with teammates (in-office and remote) to align on priorities during standard business hours. You’ll spend focused time reviewing close progress and variance narratives, then shift into collaboration—answering questions from leaders who need clear, decision-ready numbers. Later, you may refine a Power BI view for a KPI readout, check covenant calculations before a bank update, or validate an ASC 606 treatment for a new service arrangement. Between meetings, you’ll carve out quiet time for deep work in Excel and your reporting tools—keeping documentation tight and the story behind the numbers easy to follow. A CPA who likes steady cadence, clean data, and practical problem-solving will feel at home.
