We are seeking an experienced Residential Controller to join our winning team!
Assists with management of accounting, auditing, and budgeting within the organization. Assists with preparation for audits and uses accounting software to maintain records and to prepare reports.RequirementsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Education: BS/BA in Accounting or related field.
  • Years of Experience: 5+ years relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience using Sage Intacct Software.   
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office including Advanced Level Excel (pivot tables, v/h lookup, sum-if, if-then statements, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to research accounting issues and handle several projects at once.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered tools is a plus. We value candidates who are comfortable exploring new technology to improve efficiency.
Essential Functions
  • Develop, enhance, and monitor compliance of accounting policies and internal controls.
  • Support CFO to ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process.  Concurrently perform multiple assignments and special projects as assigned.
  • Perform variance analysis monthly, quarterly, and annually on G&A accounts and other key accounts.  Present results to senior management.
  • Manage the monthly closing cycle and prepare monthly financial statements for review by senior management.
  • Preparation and review of account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
  • Research and analysis of complex non-routine accounting issues and interpretation of GAAP.
  • Oversight of fixed asset accounting, maintenance of capitalization policy and inventory of fixed assets.
  • Oversight of inventory accounting including documentation of and improvement to current inventory accounting process.  Monthly review of inventory activity and reconciliation of subledger to the general ledger.
  • Provide support for regulatory and financial statement audits.
  • Participate in the completion of Federal and State tax reporting requirements (including income, property, sales and use, payroll, and other local taxes), insurance reports and other reporting.
  • Plan, schedule and facilitate quarterly job cost review meetings.
  • Plan, schedule and facilitate annual budget meetings with profit center managers.
  • Maintain annual budgeting program and worksheets.
