This is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing international company. The Controller will lead all accounting operations and ensure the integrity of the company's financial reporting. This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting function, overseeing the monthly close process, and providing timely, accurate financial insights to support business decisions. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who can operate both strategically and tactically in a growing, mid-sized organization.

Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets
  • Manage and improve the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
  • Prepare and review accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, tax, and reporting requirements

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small accounting team of one senior staff member
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies
  • Drive accountability and continuous improvement within the finance function

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecasting
  • Monitor financial performance and provide variance analysis
  • Partner with leadership to support strategic planning and decision-making

Cash Management & Operations

  • Oversee cash flow, banking relationships, and working capital management
  • Optimize financial processes and systems to improve efficiency and scalability
  • Support operational initiatives with financial analysis and insights

Audit & Compliance

  • Coordinate and manage external audits and tax filings
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies
  • Maintain documentation and readiness for audits and reviews

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • 7–12+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Prior Controller or Assistant Controller experience in a mid-sized company
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Experience managing a team
