Job description

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an Entry Level Accountant to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $25.00 to $31.25 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Enter customer invoices and apply accounts receivable payments accurately and on time
  • Process accounts payable invoices and initiate payments through vendor portals
  • Assist the payroll team with weekly invoicing and auditing tasks
  • Maintain organized documentation for accounts payable and receivable transactions
  • Support monthly close processes, audits, and budget preparation as needed
Requirements:
  • Understand debits and credits and apply them correctly in financial records
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP in all accounting procedures and documentation
  • Respond to internal information requests and assist with financial reporting
  • Meet processing and reporting deadlines consistently and efficiently
  • Collaborate with the Controller, CFO, and other departments to support financial operations
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Possess solid analytical, problem-solving, and time management abilities
