Venteon Finance is currently seeking an experienced Plant Controller for a leading manufacturing company located in the West Point, GA area. This role is a senior-level accounting/finance position focused on plant financial management, reporting, and analysis within an automotive manufacturing environment.
Requirements of the Plant Controller
  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 8+ years in Accounting/Finance with a strong Manufacturing background.
  • Previous Plant Controller experience
  • Strong preference for: Automotive manufacturing & Plant finance environment.
  • Fluent in MS Office applications, Advanced in MS Excel.
  • Experience with ERP's: SAP and HFM applications preferred.
  • Strong understanding of SOX / internal controls

Responsibilities of the Plant Controller
  • Lead the plant financial activities in the areas of accounting, costing, budget/forecast, expense control and reporting.
  • Maintain a robust internal control environment aligned to the company Business Operating System and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
  • In collaboration with the plant leadership, manage the business of the plant in order to achieve financial and performance targets.
  • Lead the financial month-end closing and reporting process.
  • Support and promote Continuous Improvement initiatives.
