Job Title: Project Coordinator – Utility ConstructionJob Description

This role provides technical and administrative support to utility construction projects, ensuring that schedules, documentation, safety practices, and field coordination align with project goals. The Project Coordinator actively monitors project status, maintains accurate records, and works closely with construction teams and stakeholders to support safe, high‑quality, and on‑schedule execution of critical infrastructure work.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor overall project status and proactively identify issues, risks, and scope changes that may impact cost, schedule, or customer relationships.
  • Document and clearly communicate project issues, risks, and scope changes to the Project Manager and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including drawing logs, as‑builts, record drawings, and updated construction documents.
  • Update and maintain construction schedules, monitor project progress, and track productivity against established project goals.
  • Provide technical and administrative support to construction teams, including participation in construction planning and coordination activities.
  • Coordinate with on‑site construction crews and subcontractors to promote safe work practices, quality workmanship, schedule adherence, and proper housekeeping.
  • Assist with routine safety audits and help ensure compliance with safety, storage, and work practice requirements.
  • Support cross‑functional collaboration with project managers, assistant project managers, project coordinators, and other team members involved in project delivery.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in a construction, environmental, field‑based, or closely related role.
  • Ability to identify problems, develop solutions, and proactively anticipate and support internal stakeholder needs.
  • Capability to read and interpret construction prints and related technical drawings.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly to field crews, project managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Effective organizational skills, including the ability to manage documentation, schedules, and multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that support collaboration with cross‑functional teams and field personnel.

Work Environment

This position follows a Monday–Friday schedule, typically working about 50 hours per week from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The role involves close collaboration with project managers, assistant project managers, project coordinators, and construction teams in a utility construction environment focused on safety, quality, and reliable execution. Work is centered around long‑term, capital‑backed utility projects that improve grid reliability, support storm restoration, and deliver essential infrastructure for communities. Attire should be appropriate for a professional construction project setting and suitable for visiting active work sites when needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
