Job Title: Procurement Analyst

Location: 80 Park Pl Newark, NJ 07102

Hybrid | 3 days week in person (80 Park Plaza, South Plainfield - 4000 Hadley Rd, and/or Plainfield Gas - 40 Rock Ave)

Note: The Candidate will be required to work at a combination of both locations; one day (Thursday in Newark) and 2 days in South Plainfield One day (Thursday in Newark) 

 *Parking: South Plainfield and Plainfield have onsite parking. Newark is parking decks that the individual will need to pay themselves. 

Job Summary

  • The Senior Procurement Analyst will manage the procurement of Construction Services for the CLIENT Capital Projects portfolio. Manage the procurement process for Civil, Electrical and A/E purchase orders, contracts, renewals, continuing to re-source recurring contractual commitments and manage emergent work in support of operations.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Duties may include being the procurement Subject Matter Expert for multiple business units or at the Enterprise level where such expertise is useful in leveraging procurement activities.
  • Work is primarily focused on planned and emergent work within a single business unit, although the ability to apply expertise across business units is desired
  • Specific duties include: Supplier identification and qualification; procurement sourcing; RFP preparation; bid evaluation; negotiation, materials and services contract development and administration; material and service planning; managing internal expert review protocols, preparing and issuing purchase orders

Job Specific Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree and 5 years of procurement, supply chain management experience.
  • Experience analyzing proposals and negotiating with suppliers to purchase materials and services.
  • Experience integrating scope and commercial requirements into contracts and purchase orders.
  • Valid driver license & ability to travel.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word.

Desired:

  • Experience with ERP systems - Ariba, SAP, CLM.
  • Experience working in a teaming environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated client satisfaction history.
  • Minimum Years of Experience/Education.

  • Intermediate: Typically, has up to approximately 4 years of experience performing this specific job function and requires some managerial oversight/direction.
  • Advanced: Full knowledge of related concepts. Typically, has at least 4 years of experience performing this specific job function and requires minimal managerial oversight/direction.
  • Expert: Full knowledge of the function. Demonstrated ability to apply concepts to the functional area and see big picture impact of actions. Typically, has approximately 7+ years of experience performing this specific job function and requires very limited managerial oversight/direction.
