Job Description
  • Reviews management and standard payroll reports regularly and address any discrepancies or identified items.
  • Ensures internal Client controls are established and monitored for verifying payroll input prior to submission so as to ensure the processing of all wages, garnishments, applicable wage taxes and other miscellaneous wage/benefit programs, calculations, and deductions meet expectations.
  • Ensures creation and review of audit and management reports are done according to schedule.
  • Participates in meetings for the ongoing administration of payroll including supplemental development work.
  • Provides documentation on issues and works collaboratively with vendor and internal company divisions towards timely resolution.
  • Leads Internal Payroll Team and provides direction to ensure internal controls and evaluation measures are established for the internal payroll team.
  • Responds to inquiries and correspondence relating to these in a timely manner.
  • Ensures attainment of project goals; develops detailed definitions and schedules, ensure appropriate testing is completed and defines resource requirements for special projects. 
    • Manages daily workflow by level- setting processing volumes and schedules to ensure timely payroll processing, Service Level Agreement and Quality goal achievement.
    • Works with Division groups to communicate project or product enhancements and strategy execution.
  • Conducts one on one meeting with associates to provide direction and feedback on interactions with clients and internal associates.
  • Partners with the Regional Payroll Executive (RPE) to identify and develop training plans to address performance gaps.
  • Monitors and communicates associate action plans and ensures associates understand expectations. Handles escalations.
  • Executes on Client Interaction Strategies (CIS) evaluation utilizing Witness systems. Provides associate performance and attendance feedback to RPE.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting preferred or equivalent training and experience in computerized payroll functions
  • 5+ years of payroll and accounting experience
  • ADP Enterprise (eV4 or eV5) is required
  • CPP certification preferred
  • Prior team lead or management experience
