Job description

We are looking for a Payroll Manager to oversee high-volume payroll operations for a hotel organization in Atlanta, Georgia. This Contract position requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage end-to-end payroll processing across multiple states while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and strong collaboration with internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with large employee populations, payroll systems, and financial reconciliation in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Lead complete payroll processing cycles for a workforce of more than 500 employees, ensuring timely and accurate pay distribution.
• Administer multi-state payroll activities while maintaining compliance with applicable wage, tax, and reporting regulations.
• Manage payroll transactions and employee data using ADP Workforce Now and Workday HCM to support efficient day-to-day operations.
• Review payroll outputs for accuracy, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues related to earnings, deductions, taxes, and time records.
• Partner with accounting teams to reconcile payroll entries, support general ledger accuracy, and assist with payroll-related month-end activities.
• Prepare payroll reports, audits, and supporting documentation for internal review and compliance purposes.
• Use Microsoft Excel to analyze payroll data, track trends, and create clear reporting for leadership and cross-functional teams.• Proven experience managing full-cycle payroll in a high-volume environment.
• Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll practices, tax requirements, and compliance standards.
• Background processing payroll for employee populations exceeding 500 workers.
• Hands-on proficiency with ADP Workforce Now and Workday HCM.
• Experience supporting payroll accounting functions, including general ledger reconciliation.
